Jan – Early Feb / Red Festival

In the Star Citizen universe, the Red Festival is a spirited UEE celebration held in late January or early February, born from ancient Earth lunisolar customs that followed humanity through the Colonial Expansion and spread among distant worlds. Modern observances feature red-and-gold outfits for luck, extra-long festive dishes, and ornate crimson envelopes stuffed with fortunes — or credits — often tucked away for chance to reveal. The Banu take part as well, hiding their own red envelopes in tribute to Cassa, the Patron of Luck.

Feb 11: Coramor

In the Star Citizen universe, February 11 is observed as Coramor, a UEE holiday devoted to love and remembrance. People mark the day by sending comms and gifts, taking romantic trips, and transmitting messages into the void for both new romances and those they’ve lost. The custom stems from the fate of Yuri Ilyin, who disappeared in SEY 2486 while attempting to reach his partner, Corazon Tan, across a collapsed jump point — a story immortalized by the vid Coramor and his final transmission that faded out with “…amor…”. Pink and black serve as the holiday’s hallmark colors.

March 15: Stella Fortuna

In Star Citizen’s UEE, Stella Fortuna falls on March 15 and commemorates humanity’s improbable triumph in settling Mars, symbolizing luck, daring, and fresh starts. Dressed in gold and green, the festivities — especially vibrant on Mars — bring feasts, fireworks, parades, and carnivals, as celebrants toast the stars, launch new ventures, and court fate in hopes of prosperity and success.

April 1: Triggerfish

In the Star Citizen universe, Triggerfish is a UEE tradition held every April 1, devoted to playful deception — practical jokes, hoaxes, and lighthearted mischief — with pranksters shouting “Triggerfish!” when the gag lands. The term originated in the 2600s on Borea, where locals duped off-worlders into believing Magnus had a nonexistent fourth planet. The hoax spread so widely that the UEE formally refuted it, cementing “Triggerfish” as both the holiday’s title and a byword for someone easily fooled.
